Employment Resources
As a veteran, there are several resources available to help you find employment. In addition to SC Works centers that have on-site staff to help you transition into the workforce, there are several programs that you can use as hiring incentives or as a means to get more training for a new civilian career in which you may be interested.

Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) is a tax credit available to employers for qualified employees (of which veterans are included) that can be used as a hiring incentive by the jobseeker.
Non-Paid Work Experience is a win-win work program supported by Veteran Affairs that gives the veteran the opportunity to have hands-on training and the employer the time to ensure that the employee is the right fit for the agency. Please note that this program is only available to local, state and federal government entities.
On-the-Job training and Apprenticeship Training Programs provides the opportunity to receive hands-on training using Veteran Affairs education benefits in a workforce environment versus having to receive training by a formal classroom education.
